João Marques Gomes
João Marques Gomes is the Chairman of the Nova Institute for Value Improvement in Health and Care. This institute brings together all the researchers from the different departments of Nova University in Lisbon who work in Value-Based Health Care. He is also the Vice-President of IBRAVS, the Brazilian Institute for Value in Health. Joao Marques-Gomes works with ICHOM, the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement. ICHOM was founded by the Harvard Business School, the Karolinska Institute, and the Boston Consulting Group.
As a management consultant, Joao Marques-Gomes has worked for the European Commission, the Portuguese Ministry of Health, the world's top 10 pharmaceutical companies in sales, public and private hospitals in Portugal and abroad. Joao Marques-Gomes teaches at Nova School of Business and Economics and at Nova Medical School. He holds a PhD in Economics and an MBA
