Lajos Horvath, MD, MBA (male)
Graduated in Medicine and Cardiology in the Semmelweis University of Budapest and Master of Business Administration in the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He is currently Strategic Director and CIO of Hospital of Hospitaller Brothers in Budapest and acting Strategic Director of St. John Hospital in Budapest. He was the co-author of Hungarian Electronic Healthcare Record (HER) standard based on ISO 13606 and has been working on standardization and archetyping of health care documents since 2006. He was the project coordinator of many hospital information system implementation projects and he is the leader medical expert of planning and development of new Hungarian nation-wide eHealth infrastructure which interconnects all state reimbursed health care providers and introduces EHR Repository, ePrescription and eReferral services. For more than 10 years he is a member of eHealth advisory board of Health Ministry in Hungary.
