Xavier Corbella
Xavier Corbella (Barcelona, 1964) graduated in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, is specialist in Internal Medicine, PhD of Medicine (Honors) from the University of Barcelona, and Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the ESADE Business School. He is Head of the Internal Medicine Department at Bellvitge University Hospital, and holds a position of adjunct Professor of Medicine, Director of the Hestia Chair in Integrated Health and Social Care, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona). He is also the current Secretary General of the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM), and has been Medical Director at Althaia-Hospitals (Manresa), CEO at Bellvitge University Hospital, President of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute, Managing Director of the Southern Metropolitan Health Area of Barcelona, and CEO at Hospital de Sant Pau (Barcelona).
