Georgia Oikonomopoulou
Georgia Oikonomopoulou is a Senior Management staff at “Elpis” Athens General Hospital. She has a degree in Humanities and her MSc thesis dealing with Hospital Governance. Her research interests concentrate on health policy relating to health care systems, with particular focus on European and comparative health systems and policy, addressing questions related to Hospital Governance. Her current research PhD interests examine the preconditions for tackling the contradictory organizational nature of Greek public hospitals (business operation VS social mission).
In November 2014 took over as editor in chief of the “Health Review” magazine.
She is a Board member of Hellenic Health Services Management Association (HHSMA) and Executive Committee member of the European Association of Hospital Managers (EAHM). On the field of Health Services Management, she has published many articles and organized and chaired many conferences and workshops.
